Testing sites planned for Corby and Kettering due to increasing Covid-19 infection rate
Coronavirus testing sites are to be set up in Kettering and Corby after a recent rise in the infection rate.
A statement from the county council said both towns were being "closely monitored due to increasing trends over recent weeks".
A test centre will be opened at the London Road car park in Kettering on Thursday, 30 July for drive-in and walk-in appointments.
Officials are also making plans for a site in Corby, and have urged anyone with mild symptoms to book a test.
Monday 27 July, is the final day of operations for two testing sites in Northampton, which were set up after a rise in the infection rate there.
The county council said it had seen a "steady flow" of residents using the walk-in centre at the in the Market Square, while a drive-in site has also been operating at St Andrews Hospital.
Northampton General Hospital has seen the highest number of coronavirus deaths in the Anglia region.
Anyone with symptoms can book a test via the NHS website or by calling 119.
