Three more hospital patients die with coronavirus in the Anglia region
The NHS has announced that a further three Covid-19 patients have died in hospitals in Northamptonshire.
Two patients died in Northampton General on Thursday taking the total number of deaths at the hospital since the start of the pandemic to 307, the highest of any single hospital in the Anglia region.
A further patient died at Kettering General on Thursday, the first coronavirus death there since 4th July.
The total number of patients dying in the hospitals in the Anglia region is now 4,140 and the total number of deaths in all settings, including care home, hospices and in the community as well as in hospitals is 5,981.
The total figure includes people who have died without a positive test for Covid-19 but where the condition was declared on death certificates.

Residents of Northampton urged to 'take action' as local coronavirus cases rise
Luton, Northampton and Peterborough have all seen rises in the number of positive tests for Covid-19 in recent weeks prompting local authorities to take additional action to prevent the spread of infection.
Residents of Northampton are being asked to maintain two metres' distance from others at all times compared to the one metre plus advice elsewhere in England. A mobile testing unit is being deployed in the town centre until Monday 27 July.
In Luton, gyms, pools and leisure centres have remained closed while they have been allowed in re-open in other areas of the country.
In the week ending Sunday 19th July, a total of 22 hospital patients died with coronavirus in the Anglia region.
That compared with 29 patients dying the week before and 33 the week before that.
Nearly 29,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the Anglia region since the start of the pandemic.
