School 'bubble' self-isolating after pupil tests positive for coronavirus in Suffolk

A pupil at a primary school in Aldeburgh in Suffolk has been tested positive for coronavirus.

The child became ill at the the weekend and did not display symptoms while in class but Aldeburgh Primary School says it has closed the group 'bubble the child was in.

The class area has also been deep cleaned.

In a statement the academy trust which runs the school said it was reassuring parents and the wider community that it was following government guidance.

The Trust said that all parents and staff have been informed and we have passed on the information from Public Health England to the pupils in the bubble concerned.

The CEO of the Avocet Academy Trust, Cheryl Singleton said: "We wish the child a speedy recovery and very best wishes to the family."
