Northampton Saints will resume their Premiership campaign with a home clash against Wasps on August 16.

The league was suspended in March because of the coronavirus pandemic, but clubs will now complete the remaining nine rounds of fixtures in the space of just a few weeks.

After taking on Wasps at Franklin's Gardens, Saints will head to London Irish the following Saturday (August 22) before another home against Bath on Wednesday 26 August.

They will finish the month with an away trip to Harlequins on August 30.

The Premiership final will take place on October 24.

Northampton were fourth when the league was paused and will be hoping to cement their position in the table when the action gets underway again.

It's not been revealed yet whether fans will be allowed to attend the games.

"Every single club is absolutely on board and totally supportive of this schedule," said Premiership Rugby chief executive Darren Childs.

"The reaction has been very positive. It was very clear early on that we wanted to keep the integrity of the competition, if we could possibly avoid cancelling rounds or awarding points.

"Many other leagues have not taken that choice and have cancelled rounds, but we have been able to find a way to do it safely and that is a great result for the league, clubs and fans."
