Modern Fenland life - through a 1960s lens
A Fenland film-maker has shunned modern technology to create a documentary about his local area using 50-year-old equipment.
Drew Berry is using an authentic 1967 camera and 8mm film to capture life in Cambridgeshire - beginning with Ely.
The process brings with it some added jeopardy - with only limited control over the zoom and focus, he has no idea as he's shooting whether the footage will be any good until it has been processed.
But Drew insists that all adds to the excitement of the project.
Shooting on 8mm film comes with a hefty price tag. Each roll of film costs £40 but only lasts for just over three minutes of footage.
It's led Drew to create a fundraising page to help pay for the project - which will eventually form a collection called Fenland on Film which he'll share on the internet as an archive of images of the area.
The film-maker believes the final product - which brings back nostalgic memories of 1960s home movies - is more than worth it.
