Police name Northampton murder victim as two men released without charge
Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Northampton have identified him as Daniel James Sullivan.
The 38-year-old, of Bailiff Street, Northampton, died after police were called to St George’s Avenue at about 10.50am yesterday (June 30) to reports of a stabbing.
Two men, aged 33 and 43, were arrested in connection with the incident but they have now been released without charge.
Det Insp Pete Long, said: “We are continuing to keep an open mind with regards to the motive behind Daniel’s death and I would again urge people who may have witnessed anything suspicious to please contact us, if they haven’t already.
“I am particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have been at the Racecourse between 9.30am and 11am on Tuesday, June 30, and may have seen anything suspicious or of concern. No matter how small – we want to hear from you.
“Specially trained officers continue to support Daniel’s family at this time and our thoughts remain with them."
Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information, or dashcam footage, to come forward.
