Man dies after car overturns in field in Essex village
A man has died after a car crashed off the road and overturned in a field in a village near Chelmsford.
The man, which was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident on Church Road in Boreham on Saturday evening.
A police tent has been placed over the blue Peugeot, which was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
A 23-year-old man from Chelmsford has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, causing death by dangerous driving and causing death while impaired by drugs.
The road was closed throughout Saturday night with Essex Police warning it was unlikely to remain open until Sunday afternoon.
Officers have asked anyone with dashcam footage of the Peugeot to contact the Serious Collisions Investigations Unit on 101.
