Sheringham lifeboat was called out on Sunday afternoon to rescue a paddleboarder thought to be struggling against wind and tide off the North Norfolk coast.

The paddleboarder was spotted half a mile off West Runton Beach at about 5.30pm and appeared to be moving offshore.

A member of the public called the coastguard who alerted the RNLI to assist but the paddleboarder managed to make it safely back to the shore unaided.
