Clean up after revellers gather to mark the Midsummer Fair that was cancelled
A clean up is underway after rubbish was left strewn across Midsummer Common in Cambridge.
It comes after revellers gathered to mark the Midsummer Fair that was due to be held. The historic fair was cancelled because of Covid-19.
The Showmen’s Guild of Great Britain even reiterated their position that the annual fair was cancelled- but it failed to deter masses of people congregating.
Pictures show rubbish strewn across the common and nearby pubs as the City Council were left to clear up the mess.
