Say hello, wave goodbye: Saints announce double signing

Northampton Saints may be bidding farewell to one South African star but they are about to welcome another.

With scrum half Corbus Reinach heading to Top 14 side Montpellier, another Springbok is heading in the opposite direction.

The Premiership side has announced Shaun Adendorff will join the side from French club Aurillac.

The Back rower is one of two signings the club announced today, with Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi also signing.

Adendorff, who is 28, has played in Super Rugby before his two-year stay in France. He has also played for the South Africa’s Under-20s.

Speaking to the club's website he said:

“I’m really excited about a new challenge in England and to test myself at the very highest level of Northern Hemisphere rugby,” Adendorff said.

Also joining up with Chris Boyd and the Saints is loosehead prop and former Saints academy graduate Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi. He leaves London Irish for Franklin's Gardens

The 26-year-old previously came through Northampton’s Academy system, and showcased his talents at international level with England Under-20s in 2013 and 2014, winning back-to-back Junior World Championship titles.
