11 more patients have died with coronavirus in the Anglia region
The NHS has reported a further 11 patients have died with coronavirus in hospitals in the Anglia region. Seven of the patients died at two hospital in Essex with a further death in Northamptonshire.
Since the start of the pandemic 3,997 hospital patients in the region have died with Covid-19. The total death toll in all settings, including care homes, hospices and in the community, has reached more than 5,700.
Basildon Hospital has been one of the hardest hit hospitals in the Eastern Counties with nearly 300 people dying there. Three more died there on the 23rd and 24th June.
Southend Hospital had four more patients dying on the 22nd and 23rd taking the total there to 231.
There have been concerns in Northamptonshire that the infection rate there was not falling as fast as elsewhere. Another patient has died at Kettering General Hospital.
