Plans for new Peterborough schools go on show

The proposed site for two new schools in Peterborough Credit: Peterborough City Council

Residents are being invited to have their say on plans for two new schools on a site in Paston, Peterborough.

Last year, the 4Cs academy trust, and the City Council, successfully bid for government funding for Manor Drive Secondary - on land at Paston Reserve, as part of the free schools programme. This follows the trust’s successful bid for Manor Drive Primary also to be built on at Paston Reserve.

An online public consultation into the plans, has been launched prior to submission of the full planning application on 3 July.

If it's approved, construction should start next February with the schools opening in September 2022. They will provide 420 primary places, 26 nursery places and 900 secondary places.

Councillor John Holdich, leader of Peterborough City Council, said

The consultation runs until Friday 26 June and can be viewed here
