London Southend Airport gets ready for take off as lockdown eases
Video report by ITV News Anglia's Russell Hookey
Management at London Southend Airport say new security procedures introduced to minimise contact with passenger's belongings because of the Covid 19 pandemic could speed up journeys rather than slowing them down.
The first passenger flight since lockdown will leave Southend for Malaga next week on July 1st.
The latest generation of x-ray machines will be in use. They avoid the need to place liquids in bags or take out laptops.
