Northampton Town pull off stunning comeback to book Wembley date
Cheltenham Town 0-3 Northampton Town (2-3 on Agg)
Northampton Town produced a stunning comeback to overturn a two-goal deficit and book their place in the League Two play-off final.
The Cobblers were 2-0 down from Thursday's first home leg against Cheltenham Town, but scored three times in the second leg to clinch a date at Wembley.
On loan West Brom striker Callum Morton was their hero, scoring twice in the second-half to secure a result that will live long in the memory of Northampton fans.
Strike partner Vadaine Oliver had earlier given the Cobblers a lifeline when he opened the scoring on the night with just nine minutes on the clock.
At that point, the odds still seemed to be against Keith Curle's side, but the impressive Morton had other ideas - scoring twice after the break to complete an incredible turnaround.
Northampton will now face Exeter City at Wembley on Monday, with the game being staged behind closed doors.
A win for the Cobblers would see them return to League One for the first time since they were relegated in 2018.
