Woman stabbed to death in broad daylight

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was stabbed to death in broad daylight in Norwich.

Officers were called to waste ground near Bannatynes gym off Yarmouth Road in Thorpe St Andrew at about 12.45pm following reports a woman had been found with serious injuries.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance attended but despite treatment, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man has been arrested in the Warwickshire area on suspicion of murder and will be brought back to Norfolk for questioning.
