School blaze could have been caused by mouse chewing through wiring
A fire which tore through the roof of the principal's house at Stamford School was caused by a fault in the electrics, according to Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.
No one was hurt in the fire on Friday and everyone in the school was able to get out safely.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue say the fire was caused by an electrical fault in the loft. A spokesman for the school said it was likely to have been a mouse chewing wires.
The school thanked emergency services for their prompt action in stopping the flames spreading. It said year 10 and 12 pupils were able to return as arranged.
