Teenager charged with murder following fatal Peterborough stabbing

A teenager has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Peterborough.

The body of a 27-year-old man was found in Tilton Court in the Welland area of the city on Friday morning.

Leam Smith, 19, of Dogsthorpe in Peterborough, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court virtually on Monday.

A 30-year-old man, from Peterborough, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday has been released on conditional bail while a 45-year-old woman, from Peterborough, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released and won't face any further action.
