Cardboard cutout of Harry Dunn to be in stands for Cobblers' play-off semi
The family of Harry Dunn say a cardboard cutout of the teenager will join images of other fans at the home leg of Northampton Town's play-off semi-final against Cheltenham.
The teenager, who was killed when his motorbike was hit by a car driving on the wrong side of the road in August 2019, was a lifelong Cobblers fan and the cutout will be placed alongside those of his dad Tim and brother Miles.
The club have supported the Dunn family's campaign for justice since his death; Anne Sacoolas, who has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, flew to America in the days after the crash and efforts to extradite her have been unsuccessful so far.
The cutout of Harry, who was 19 at the time of the crash, will join thousands in the PTS Academy Stadium as part of the club's 'Cobbler in the Crowd' scheme.
Tim Dunn told the Northampton Chronicle: "I've been a Cobblers fan for most of my life, as was Harry and my son Miles, so we thought it would be great for all three of us to be there.
"It was a no brainer to get him in there for one last game and it's a nice feeling that we would all be there together."
Northampton are targeting a return to League One via the play-offs, which are the only League Two matches left to play following the cancellation of the regular season.
The home leg against Cheltenham will be on Thursday, 18 June, with the return fixture the following Monday.
The club said they were "delighted" that Harry's image will be among the crowd, and that he was well known to many fans.
A spokesperson said: “Harry was a huge Cobblers fan and a popular figure amongst fellow supporters and as a club we have supported the family in a number of ways since the tragic events of last August.
"We are delighted that Harry’s image will be seen at the play-off game next week and we send our continued best wishes to the Dunn family.”
Northampton have also announced that basketball star Shaquille O'Neal will be present among the fans.
The LA Lakers legend has previously spoken of his support of the Cobblers, and a photo of him wearing a Northampton scarf will be placed in the stands.
