Hundreds gather peacefully in Peterborough and Ipswich for BLM protest

Hundreds of people have gathered peacefully in Peterborough for a Black Lives Matter protest.

Most of the crowd were wearing face masks and respecting social distancing rules as they responded to the death of American George Floyd.

In Christchurch Park in Ipswich there were similar scenes with efforts taken for social distancing.

Other protests took place in Southend, Hitchin, Northampton, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Norwich.

In Norwich there were gatherings at the Forum and in Eaton Park.

Both were streamed live for people to watch from their homes to comply with social distancing guidelines.
