Man arrested after police launch murder inquiry in Peterborough

Police in Cambridgeshire have launched a murder inquiry after a man died following a disturbance at a property in Peterborough on Bank Holiday Monday.

Officers and paramedics were called to the property in Park Road on Monday afternoon.

A man in his 60s died at the scene and a post mortem examination was taking place at Peterborough City Hospital on Wednesday.

A 34-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested at the property on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

Cambridgeshire Police say they are are treating it as an isolated incident.
