Officials say that more tests will be needed to determine what happened to a newborn baby that was found dead in a recycling centre last Thursday.

A Home Office post-mortem examination was carried out yesterday (Tuesday May 19) but were unable to prove the cause of death.

Suffolk police say that further investigations may take 'some time'.

The baby girl was found just after 3pm on Thursday, May 14 at Sackers recycling centre in Ipswich Road in Needham Market.

Detectives are said to be 'very concerned' for the wellbeing of the baby's mother, who is still unidentified.

Suffolk police is urging anyone with information that might help find her to come forward, even if they are concerned for a family member or a friend.

They are asking people to contact them by calling 101 and quoting reference 37/26499/20.
