A further 15 patients with coronavirus die in hospitals in the Anglia region
The latest daily figures issued by the NHS reveal 15 more patients have died with Covid-19 in the Anglia region taking the total 3,282.
For two consecutive days the number of people dying in the area has been under 20, the lowest daily figures since March. However the totals do tend to fall after the weekend as there is a time lag in the reporting of the data from hospitals.
The figures do not include those who pass away in care homes or in the community, which are published on a local level only weekly. When the data released last Tuesday is included, the regional death toll rises to more than 4,500.
There were a further four deaths announced at Kettering General Hospital and another at Northampton General Hospital.
Between the two hospitals, 356 patients have died with coronavirus and there has been a second smaller peak in the number of deaths in Northamptonshire. In the past fortnight, 62 patients have died in Kettering and Northampton.
The East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, which runs the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, saw an additional four patients dying with Covid-19 bringing the total for the Trust to 140.
Two more patients died at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with the total number of deaths there now at 60.
