Police confirm body on beach is missing Gorleston woman Chelsie Dack
The body of a woman found washed up on Sizewell beach has been identified as that of missing woman Chelsie Dack.
A Home Office post mortem held yesterday (Wednesday 13 May) identified the body of the 23-year-old from Gorleston who went missing in the early hours of Monday morning (20 April 2020) after leaving her home on the High Street.
Chelsie’s family have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
The estate agent was reported missing from her home in the seaside town ofGorleston in Norfolk at 3am on April 20.
Norfolk Police said CCTV footage showed her walking towards the pier, where her mobile phone was found by a member of the public later that morning.
Police said at the time the "most likely scenario" was that she had enteredthe water.
Sizewell is around 30 miles along the coast from Gorleston.
A Facebook post, shared by Chelsie's mother Dawn Howell at the time of herdaughter's disappearance, said it is "strongly believed Chelsie has taken herown life".
Norfolk Police said the cause of death is being treated as unexplained but isnot believed to be suspicious.
