Buildings illuminated in blue to pay tribute to key workers across the region
Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press joined forces last night, 7 May, to pay tribute to key workers taking part in efforts to tackle Covid-19.
The newly built Triangle tower (Cambridge Assessment’s international headquarters), the iconic architectural structure of University Printing House, and the 200 year-old Pitt Building (the current and former global headquarters for Cambridge University Press respectively) were illuminated in blue to show appreciation.
It comes as people across the region take to their doorsteps once again to join in on the 7th week of Clap for Our Carers.
More local landmarks have been lit up blue as part of the national Clap for Carers across Essex, with the latest being the historic Hedingham Castle.
Landmarks such as Bocking Windmill and Braintree Town Hall have also been seen lit up in colours to mark the occasion.
