Hope for couples trying for a baby as fertility clinics closed during pandemic offer virtual appointments
There's more hope for couples hoping to undergo fertility treatment after it was revealed virtual IVF consultations will start in the East for the first time.
Bourn Hall - which has its main clinics in Cambridge, Norwich and Wickford -was forced to stop treating patients in March due to the pandemic.
Now the government has announced restrictions will soon end and Bourn Hall is applying to reopen. Read more here
In the meantime the clinic is offering patients the chance to speak with a doctor online to talk through treatment plans. It's hoped the secure online clinical consulting room could help fast-track treatment when it is available.
Bourn Hall has full service clinics in Cambridge, Norwich and Wickford and satellite clinics at Colchester, King’s Lynn and Peterborough. It also has forged a partnership with the Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
