The daily coronavirus death toll was below 100 in the Anglia region for the first time in five days
The number of patients dying in hospitals in the Anglia region announced on Saturday was 92 with the total number of people dying since the start of the outbreak now at 1,694.
It follows 104 deaths announced in the region on Friday with 107 on Thursday and 121 on Wednesday.
The figures are released each day by NHS England but do not currently include those who die in care homes, hospices and in their own homes.
The largest rise in the region was seen at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital in Bedfordshire with announced a further 15 deaths, which occurred between the 10th and 13th April. The total number of patients dying at that hospital is now 108.
Basildon Hospital in Essex has seen the highest number of deaths from Covid-19 since the pandemic started with a further 10 announced today taking the total to 179.
A total of 15,464 patients have died in hospital after testing positive forcoronavirus in the UK as of 5pm on Friday, the Department of Health said, up by 888 from 14,576 the day before.
The Department of Health said, as of 9am on Saturday, 357,023 people have been tested of which 114,217 tested positive.

The numbers of new cases of coronavirus confirmed in the Anglia region are still rising.
The figures went up by 380 from 8,016 to 8,396 when the latest figures to 9am on Saturday 18 April were released by NHS England.
The rate of new cases in the past 24 hours was growing fastest in Norfolk and Suffolk.
In Norfolk they increased by 11% and in Suffolk there were up by 10%. Across the region, the increase was 5%.

The Bedfordshire figures are the local authorities of Bedford, Luton and Central Bedfordshire combined. Cambridgeshire includes Peterborough and Essex includes Southend and Thurrock.
