Boom in home baking helps struggling watermill
A working watermill in Norfolk which produces bread flour has recruited extra staff to try and keep up with a rise in demand as more people bake at home.
Letheringsett Watermill near Holt in Norfolk use to produce 2.8 tons of flour every 4 weeks. At the moment it's making SIX tonnes in a week.
Owner and manager Michelle Thurlow, has been milling up to 15 hours a day to clear the backlog.
Michelle told ITV News Anglia that the mill was experiencing financial difficulty prior to the pandemic but has found its fortunes improving as a result in the spike in demand.
