Opera singer puts on concert for the elderly in care home garden
Residents at a nursing home in Felixstowe were treated to a performance from a world famous opera singer this afternoon.
Christina Johnston, a British soprano from Framlingham in Suffolk, had to cancel her concerts due to the coronavirus outbreak that has seen all theatres and venues shut down for public safety.
Christina has performed all around the world, but this afternoon was a little different to her usual venues. Standing in the garden of the care home, she performed for the elderly residents who watched from the window.
The current public health advice is to stay at a distance from other people, even if you are not showing symptoms - a practice called 'social distancing'.
