Staff at Peterborough's Serpentine Green trained in how to assist deafblind people

Staff at Serpentine Green shopping centre in Peterborough have received specialist training to help them assist deaf and blind people.

Charity Deafblind UK has started running courses across the UK so that staff in public places like cinemas, cafes and shops know how to help people with sight and hearing loss.

They're hoping that eventually, places like Serpentine Green, that now are equipped with fully trained members of staff who understand deaf and blindness, will become commonplace.
