Man who was injured in M1 crash dies in hospital

Police have confirmed that a man died in a car crash on the M1 at the weekend.

Laxmanbhai Mulchandani, 64, from Harrow, was injured when his vehicle was involved in a serious collision on the southbound carriageway, near junction 12 in Bedfordshire at around 4.30am.

He was taken to hospital, but died yesterday (Tuesday 26 February.)

Sergeant Mark Atkins from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit said:

“Our thoughts are with Mr Mulchandani’s family at this time.
