CCTV captures man who tried to rob a shop at knifepoint

CCTV cameras have captured pictures of a masked man who robbed a shop at knifepoint.

Police have released the pictures hoping it will help them catch the man who burst into Hardwick Convenience Store in Home Farm Lane in Bury St Edmunds last Friday (February 21) and threatened staff with a knife.The robber was dressed in a black leather jacket, a black hat and had a black scarf covering his face.

He demanded scratch cards and ordered staff to put cash into a bag.

They refused, and told him there wasn't much cash available and he made off empty handed.

Anyone who recognises the man, or saw anything suspicious is urged by Suffolk police to come forward.
