Stadium MK will host one of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2021 semi-finals, it's been announced.

Milton Keynes was chosen as one of 10 venues for the finals which will take place in England next summer.

The FA has now revealed one of the semi-finals will be staged at the home of MK Dons on July 28, with the other scheduled for Sheffield United's Bramall Lane a day earlier.

Stadium MK will host four matches in total during the competition - including three group stage games on July 9, July 13 and July 17.

"We are incredibly proud and excited that Stadium MK will be playing its part in UEFA Women’s EURO 2021, including hosting a semi final here on Wednesday 28 July. We truly can’t wait to welcome players, staff and fans, from all across Europe, to Milton Keynes next summer," MK Dons Chairman Pete Winkelman said.

Dame Sue Campbell, The FA’s Director of Women’s Football and UEFA Women’s EURO 2021 Board Member, added: "As a proud host nation, by staging matches at ten fantastic grounds across the country, our aim is not only to deliver a record-breaking tournament, but also to ensure that it provides a tangible legacy in terms of growing the women’s game.

"By inspiring fans both at home and abroad, and by providing playing opportunities to girls in every school across the country, I am confident that we can do exactly that.”
