Storm Ciara: 350 calls recorded across Norfolk

Hundreds of calls were recorded across Norfolk due to storm Ciara say County Council.

A fallen tree at St Mary's Church in Tittleshall near Fakenham in Norfolk has blocked the road outside, causing extensive damage to the church wall.

There were more than 350 call outs across Norfolk yesterday (9th February) due to storm Ciara.

Norfolk County Council highways started to receive calls from 4.40am continuing throughout the day.

  • Norfolk County Council Highways team dealt with the following:

  • 160 calls were tree-related

  • Other calls were to do with flooding, debris from buildings in the road and failed traffic lights

  • Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service dealt with the following:

  • 100 weather related incidents from fallen power lines, trees, roof collapses and low-risk flooding
