M11 re-opens after 24 hour closure due to debris risk from Storm Ciara

The M11 in Cambridgeshire has re-opened after being closed for almost 24 hours because of concerns that high winds would rip the roof off an aircraft hangar at Duxford.

A section of the M11 between J9 and J11 was shut in both directions as well as part of the A505 as Storm Ciara hit the region yesterday (9th Feb).

A section of the roof on a hangar at Imperial War Museum Duxford was deemed unsafe with the possibility it could be blown onto the road.
