Engineers work to restore electricity supplies after storm damage

  • As of 18:00 (Monday 10th February)

  • 788 homes and businesses were still without power, the most across Suffolk at 322 and Norfolk at 120

  • UK Power Networks say all should be restored across the East of England by the end of the day

UK Power Networks says its restored power to 98 per cent of all properties affected by storm Ciara yesterday and that it hopes to have power restored to everyone by the end of today ( Monday 10th February).

413,000 homes and businesses were affected in total.

In the East of England there are 3,950 homes and businesses still without power as of 15:00 Monday 10th February.

The most are across Norfolk and Suffolk with just a few left across Bedfordshire.

The breakdown of numbers still without power by county is as follows:

  • Bedfordshire, 25

  • Buckinghamshire, 82

  • Cambridgeshire, 105

  • Essex, 873

  • Hertfordshire, 91

  • Norfolk, 1,363

  • Suffolk, 1,411
