Police granted extra time to question suspect in Peterborough murder case

Police have been given extra time to question a man they arrested after a man was murdered in Peterborough on Sunday.

The 39-year-old man is in custody at Thorpe Wood Station and will face further questions about the death of the man who was found injured in Lincoln Road.

Paramedics and police attended to the wounded victim at 8.50pm and took him to hospital where he later died.

Officers say the murder was an isolated incident and that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the killing.
