Man murdered in Peterborough is named by police
Police have named a man who was murdered in Peterborough on Sunday (5 January).
30-year-old Audrius Lapinskas from Watergall in Bretton was found seriously injured in Lincoln Road at 8.50pm, at the junction with Northfield Road.
Police were called and paramedics took him to hospital, where he later died.
A murder investigation was opened and a 39-year-old man from Peterborough has been arrested.
He remains in police custody after an extension was granted so that Bedfordshire police could have more time to question him. Police are calling the murder an 'isolated incident'.
