Firefighters battle major blaze at Northamptonshire wedding venue

Fire has engulfed a Victorian manor house and wedding venue in Northamptonshire.

Part of the A5 had to be shut while more than 30 firefighters tried to put out the flames at the Plum Park Hotel near Towcester.

The building was unoccupied at the time but there has been significant damage.

The road was reopened in the early but fire crews remain on site with an investigation into the cause set to begin this morning.

The fire service says its not thought there are any "suspicious circumstances".
