When an injured soldier named Arthur Grimes returned from the war in 1919 his mother must have thought her concerns for her only son were over. But the rifleman died from his injuries several months later despite 19 operations on his leg. He was the last of 159 soldiers from Saffron Walden to die from injuries sustained during the First World War.Author, Robert Pike, has visited all but one of their graves around the world.
