Bascule bridge reopens after second technical fault in a week
The Bascule Bridge in Lowestoft has reopened after a technical fault kept it raised for the second time in less than a week.
Highways England reported on Twitter this morning (Sunday 17 November) that they were working to fix the issue as soon as possible. It was eventually lowered just before 9.30am
It was the second time that the bridge has closed in just four days following technical issues. On Thursday it remained closed for most of the day with diversions in place through Oulton Broad.
