Rural roads across the east affected by flooding

Several rural roads have been flooded as a result of heavy rain over the past 48 hours.

Here's where roads have been blocked in the Anglia region:

Northamptonshire

  • Gretton - Lyddington Road is closed in both directions, from Station Road to Rockingham Road.

Cambridgeshire

  • Alconbury Weston - Hamerton Road is blocked in both directions due to flooding around Willow Farm Close, near the junction with Vinegar Hill.

  • Sutton Gault - The Causeway is closed in both directions due to flooding from Bedingham's Dove, near Sutton On The Isle. The road has been closed since Tuesday.

  • Peterborough - North Bank in both directions is closed due to flooding from B1040 to Dog in a Doublet.

Suffolk

  • Leiston - Saxmundham Road is partially blocked in both directions making it impassable for small vehicles.

The Environment Agency have issued several flood alerts for the region.

Norfolk

  • Welney - Wash Road on the A1101 remains closed in both directions due to flooding from Bedford Bank West to Hundred Food Bank. The road has been closed since Tuesday.
