Stream on Blickling Estate reborn thanks to volunteer effort
The National Trust have brought a small stream which runs for two kilometres through the Blickling Estate back to life.
A few weeks ago, the Silvergate Stream was stilted up and covered in weeds. But it is now flowing freely through the countryside.

Volunteers have been using natural methods like bundles of sticks to redirect and manage the watercourse, which provides a home to small fish and insects.
Emily Long, Project Manager for the National Trust, said: "[It will provide] shallow habitats and pseudo flood plains to encourage plant life.
"These faggots or stick bundles help us provide habitat and silt traps in their own rights."
The stream has been restored as part of a wider project to conserve the tributaries that lead into the River Bure, a valuable chalk stream that feeds the Norfolk Broads.
