The Elena Baltacha Foundation has launched a new initiative to support young sports prospects in Suffolk.
The organisation was set up by Elena's husband Nino Severino following her death from liver cancer. The pro-tennis player from Ipswich died in 2014.
Having previously just supported young tennis players, the foundation has now expanded into other sports.
Tennis coach Judy Murray is one of those supporting the scheme - she spoke to ITV Anglia's Jonathan Wills and Becky Jago
Their new initiative, supported by tennis coach Judy Murray, will see promising athletes linked with businesses from Suffolk who will support their training costs.
One of those to benefit is 11-year-old gymnast Ellie Cornforth. She is being supported by Birketts Solicitors, because Ellie has also expressed a desire to become a lawyer.
