Stansted announces new flights to India

Air India is launching the first ever scheduled flights from Stansted. Three flights a week will depart from the Essex airport to Amritsar in the north west of the country.

The service will be flown by Boeing 787 Dreamliners offering business and economy class seats.

Airport managers say they believe there is strong and growing demand for long-haul services to India from both business and tourist travellers.
