Fire service called to chemical leak at Felixstowe Docks
Fire crews have rushed to a warehouse at Felixstowe Docks after reports of a chemical leak.
Nine appliances were called to the Denholm Logistics building at around midday on Monday 7 October.
According to Suffolk Fire and Rescue, the lids of five containers have been compromised, causing an unknown chemical to spill.
A cordon has been set up 50m from the leak, which has been contained inside the warehouse.
Crews from Ipswich East, Woodbridge, Princes Street, Holbrook, Felixstowe and Haverhill have been called to the scene. The Environment Agency have also been informed, as is common practice in chemical incidents.
