Former homeless woman sets up community fridge in North Walsham

A woman who spent nearly a year sleeping rough has introduced a food redistribution scheme to a North Norfolk town.

Jamie-Lee Knighton has set up a community fridge, which residents can use to donate to or take food from according to their needs.

Watch a report from ITV Anglia's Natalie Gray on the initiative:

She said: "At one point in my life I found myself homeless, only for a short ten months but ten months is ten months.

"I had support from the food banks which is amazing but it's very hard to open a tin of baked beans when you're homeless so I thought a community fridge would be amazing and help our community and reduce food wastage."
