160,000 expected to see Ed Sheeran in Ipswich

Around 160 thousand people are expected to head to Suffolk as Ed Sheeran performs at Chantry Park in Ipswich.
Some roads in the area will be closed and the council's advising people travelling from a distance to plan their journeys.
The main roads around Chantry Park that will be affected are London Road and Hadleigh Road
London Road
London Road will remain open for most of the weekend, with a contraflow system in place to ensure traffic can go in both directions and pedestrians are able to travel safely to and from the concerts.
Between 9.30pm and 1am each night, London Road will be closed in both directions between Ranelagh Road and the Holiday Inn.
Hadleigh Road
Hadleigh Road will be closed between the A1071 and Dickens Road from noon on Friday 23rd August until 1am on Tuesday 27th August.
Residential roads
Residential roads near the park will be open as normal, any resident living within the road closure will be issued with a pass to make sure they can access their home
Park and Ride
A Park & Ride service will be available from Trinity Park, Felixstowe Road, Ipswich, IP3 8UH.
Anybody travelling east via A14 or via A12 should exit at Seven Hills Roundabout (Junction 58) and follow signs to Trinity Park.

Drop Off and Pick Up
A drop off and pick up point for cars and taxis will be in operation at Sainsburys, Hadleigh Rd, Ipswich, IP2 0BX from 2pm each day.
Extra rail services
As a result of the concerts, Greater Anglia has provided additional services from Ipswich to Norwich and from Ipswich to Colchester/London Liverpool Street
