Well this was quick work by the people behind Norwich Pride!

After the disappointment of hearing a city bus driver had refused to work on a vehicle adorned with a rainbow-decorated number, they've launched a striking new range of merchandise.

It means Pride supports can now grab themselves a mug, sticker, hoodie or even a cushion with the catchphrase: "I'm here, I'm queer, now take me to Hellesdon and back!"

It was a comment made to ITV News Anglia earlier this week in response to news that Norfolk-based Konnectbus had suspended one of its drivers.

It followed a report that the driver had told passengers he would not drive a bus that "promoted homosexuality", because the number of the vehicle had a rainbow-coloured background in support of Norwich Pride.

Konnectbus said it had launched an investigation and "did not condone any behaviour from our drivers that does not support" its inclusive approach.

Julie Bremner, trustee of Norwich Pride, told ITV News Anglia reporter Rob Setchell: "If I was to meet the bus driver or get on his bus, I'd say I'm here, I'm queer, take me to Hellesdon and back - and then give him a cheeky wink."

Just two days later, Norwich Pride has posted a link on its Facebook page to a website where supporters can buy a wide range of merchandise bearing the catchphrase.

The post said it was in response to requests they had received.
