Teenage Speedway racer who almost died in crash returned to Mildenhall stadium to standing ovation
A young speedway rider from Cambridgeshire has vowed to get back on his bike, after he was nearly killed in a crash.
Less than two months ago, 15-year-old Sam Norris suffered serious head injuries while competing in the British Youth Championships in Glasgow.
Sam, from Linton, lost his eyesight and couldn't walk or talk, so severe were his injuries.
But this weekend, Sam defied doctors expectations and returned to Mildenhall - where his club, the Fen Tigers are based - for the first time since the accident.
Sam has stunned medical staff by learning to walk and talk again in less than two months.
He says he has loved bikes for as long as he can remember and he can't wait to ride again.

Sam is currently staying at a specialist brain injury centre, following his treatment at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
His parents hope he'll be home in a few months' time and, eventually, he may even get back out on the race track.
Sam's club, the Mildenhall Fen Tigers are certainly hoping Sam will be back.
