A Cambridgeshire pub which was saved by its locals has opened in style.

It looked like it was last orders for The Three Tuns at Guilden Morden until the community stepped in to buy it.

Today (August 3), after six long years, the villagers realised a dream – returning their once empty pub to the centre of community life.

More than 200 people chipped in to buy the pub, with many others putting in hours of volunteering to renovate it.

The new landlords say the transformation has been "incredible" and they'll focus on events for local families.

MP Heidi Allen cut the ribbon for the opening, while there was also a flypast from a Hurricane.
